More Visual, Less Text

Learning about new things on the web for me isn’t so hard. I feel like most companies out there try to fit things online around us, the users.

With new things coming out, like faster internet or better applications, companies will try their best to make it easy for us to get their content online.

It doesn’t take much for someone to know how to get around online.

My niece was around 3 when she first started watching YouTubes videos. Sure she didn’t know what she was doing, but she was able to go around and watch different videos.

Also, with all these social networking sites, news aren’t basically just words anymore but can be images.

A couple of days ago, when the Boston marathon bombing happened, I found out through Facebook. The first thing I saw was a picture of the bombing and on the picture it said, pray for Boston.

It doesn’t seem like it takes much for us to realize what is happening anymore. With one picture, we put in our head that something must’ve happened.

Because of the web, I feel like we have gotten used to seeing more of a visual instead of an actual article.

It feels like anyone can be on the web and know what they are doing, because of such small reading that is being done online now.
